WonderCon 2011 will be held at the Moscone Center from Friday through Sunday, April 1-3, 2011. “To say we’re excited would be an understatement,” commented Comic-Con and WonderCon’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations David Glanzer. “In the past the earliest we could secure dates was typically 6 months out. This time we have a full year to plan, notify exhibitors and attendees alike. We’re extremely excited.” In recent years WonderCon has grown from a highly successful regional show to the first large national show of the comics convention season. While attendance figures are still being tabulated, last year’s attendance reached an all-time high of 34,000, and by all accounts the numbers for 2010 met or exceeded those for 2009. Next year WonderCon will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Because the event is produced by the same organization that produces the mega-popular Comic-Con in San Diego, WonderCom benefits from the group’s 40-plus years of history and know-how in operating the most successful convention of its kind. Click here for more info. In case you didn’t see the Toy Story 3 & Sorcerer’s Apprentice videos from Wondercon check them out below. Featuring: John Ratzenberger, Lee Unkrich, Darla K. Anderson, Kristen Schaal, and Jeff Garlin. The creators of the beloved Toy Story films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of Woody, Buzz and our favorite gang of toy characters in TOY STORY 3. Woody and Buzz had accepted that their owner Andy would grow up someday, but what happens when that day arrives? In the third installment, Andy is preparing to depart for college, leaving his loyal toys troubled about their uncertain future. Lee Unkrich (co-director of Toy Story 2 and Finding Nemo) directs this highly anticipated film, and Michael Arndt, the Academy Award®-winning screenwriter of Little Miss Sunshine, brings his unique talents and comedic sensibilities to the proceedings. TOY STORY 3 will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters on June 18th, 2010. Featuring: Jon Turteltaub, Jay Baruchel, Nicolas Cage, and Teresa Palmer. Dave (Jay Baruchel) is just an average college student, or so it appears, until the sorcerer Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) recruits him as his reluctant protégé and gives him a crash course in the art and science of magic. As he prepares for a battle against the forces of darkness in modern-day Manhattan, Dave finds it is going to take all of the courage he can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE. Coming to theaters July 16, 2010. Pixar`Toy Story 3′ to debut in Taiwan before US … Pixar’s Toy Story 3 Special Cliffhanger Edition … ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ International Trailer … New Toy Story 3 Poster …

Disneyorama is reporting that Toy Story Mania will be getting a software program update in conjunction with the upcoming Toy Story 3 which is scheduled in theaters on June 18 : For the first time in Disney Imagineering history, Imagineers are going to take advantage of the ability to swap out computer programs and change one of the midway games at Toy Story Midway Mania. The transition will occur in conjunction with the upcoming Toy Story 3 which is scheduled in theaters on June 18. The balloon pop game will be changed from Bo Peep and her sheep to Rex and Trixie (the triceratops from the new movie), and will feature a jungle/volcano theme. What is significant about this change is that the attraction very likely will experience zero downtime during the change. This is due to the fact that the change only involves changing out computer programs which can be done overnight. Therefore it is assumed that the attraction will simply close one day with the old game and reopen the next day with the new game. Click here to keep reading.
