Have you ever noticed this lovely dancing fountain at Epcot located just behind Spaceship Earth ? It’s the Fountain of Nations and in addition to being a lovely point of interest for guests, it has been an important part of park history since Epcot opened in 1982. A special “International Ceremony of the Waters” took place right here on the park’s opening day, in which cultural representatives traveled to Epcot from around the world. Each one brought with them a container of water from their nation and poured it into the fountain

Disney Parks have a long tradition of integrating stories from the creative masterpieces of Walt Disney animated and live-action features into immersive attractions and experiences. Did you know this tradition dates back to opening day, July 17, 1955, with several attractions inspired by the silver screen? The most notable of these is the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland park.

Last week, 400 Disney Parks Blog readers joined our team for an advanced screening of “ Pete’s Dragon ” outdoors at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground . The resort’s “nature” theme and outdoor setting was perfect for this film, which is set deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. At our event, guests gathered outdoors to answer trivia questions, received Disney Parks Blog hats and “Pete’s Dragon” lunch pails – and were even surprised with an appearance by young actor Oakes Fegley, who plays Pete in the film.

One of my favorite places at Epcot is La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion. Not only does it provides an escape of the crowds but it’s a place where you can learn a lot about tequila, mezcal and more. The tequila bar celebrates the heritage and tradition of tequila-making in Mexico! Even the beautiful murals around La Cava show the story of how tequila is made! Since National Tequila Day is on July 24th, Hilda Castillo, one of the tequila ambassador at La Cava del Tequila, wants to share information about Mexico’s popular distilled beverage that originated in the city of Tequila, Mexico.

Shanghai Disneyland is now officially open, and guests are enjoying the park’s six amazing themed lands. It’s the perfect day to continue our land-by-land tour with that Disney Parks classic, Fantasyland. Inspired by Disney’s animated films, this is the largest of all the lands in Shanghai Disneyland and home to the majestic Enchanted Storybook Castle . The castle overlooks a storybook village and an enchanted forest where exciting attractions immerse guests in beloved stories
